Surf

Surf, published on the App Store as Story Templates : Y2K Collage, is an iPhone and iPad app by Dmitry Mashkin for designing social media stories, aesthetic collages and posts. It offers more than 120 templates with custom typography and colors, a URL-to-Story tool that turns a web link into a story, and an AI Eraser that removes unwanted objects from photos on the device.

A user picks one of Surf's templates, then adjusts the fonts and colors to build a story, collage or post, or pastes a web link into the URL-to-Story converter to turn it into designed content. Finished designs export in ultra-high quality for all platforms. Surf shows no ads and needs no account, and the developer states that it does not collect any data from the app.

The AI Eraser in Surf removes unwanted objects, blemishes or photobombers from a picture with a single tap. It runs on a local AI model that processes everything on the device, so photos never leave the phone, the tool works offline without an internet connection, and results arrive without server delays. The app also supports VoiceOver, Voice Control and a dark interface.

Surf is free to download, and Surf Premium, sold in the app as Surf+, costs $1.99 a month or $15.99 a year at U.S. pricing. The app requires iOS 15.0 or iPadOS 15.0 or later, also runs on iPod touch and on Macs with an Apple M1 chip and macOS 12.0, is designed for iPad but not verified for macOS, and is available in English.
