Runway is an AI image and video generator for iPhone from Runway AI, Inc. that brings several models into one app: Seedance 2.5, Kling 3 Pro, Gen-4.5, Nano Banana Pro, Nano Banana 2 and more, so the user picks the model for the job without separate subscriptions. It serves creators, filmmakers, designers and marketers making short films, ads, music videos, social posts, storyboards and character designs.

Video is generated from a text prompt, from a photo or from another video, and images come from a prompt or a reference photo in styles from photorealistic to illustration, anime, concept art and product shots. Runway Agent builds a whole video from a plain-language conversation: it plans the shots, generates them, assembles the result and applies requested changes, with no timeline or prompt syntax to learn. A first generation takes about two minutes.

Characters, objects and locations stay consistent across generations, so a series of shots reads as one story, and a single still image can be animated. Typical outputs include cinematic scenes, marketing and product videos, logos, flyers and event invitations, music videos, reels, storyboards, animatics, avatars and animation. With an existing Runway account, work syncs automatically between the phone and the computer, and new models and features are added regularly.

Runway is free to start, with subscriptions for more credits, higher resolution and faster generation: Standard at $14.99 a month or $143.99 a year, Pro at $35.00 a month and Max at $95.00 a month. Generation credits are also sold in packs from 1000 credits for $10.00 to 10000 credits for $100.00. The app is for iPhone only, requires iOS 16.4 or later, is in English, contains advertising and may use identifiers to track users across other apps.
