About Image to Claymation

Image to Claymation is an AI image-editing tool that rebuilds ordinary photos as handcrafted-looking clay scenes in a stop-motion style. It works with portraits, pets, products, food, buildings and travel photos, and suits people who want clay-style avatars, keepsakes or product concept visuals. It calls itself an independent creative tool and currently produces still images only, with a claymation video feature still in development.

A user uploads a JPEG, PNG or WebP image up to 10 MB, picks one of three clay presets, chooses a frame and can add one short direction, such as keeping a particular scarf or package color. The browser strips embedded metadata and compresses the file before it goes to Replicate for processing. A before-and-after slider shows the source beside the result before the JPG is downloaded.

The three presets are Classic, Soft Sculpt and Cinematic, and each changes the material, lighting and miniature-set character. Framing can match the original or use 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9 crops, and one run can return one, two or four images. Focused pages handle pets, portraits and full-figure characters, and free browser planners help with stop-motion work such as frame rates, storyboards, lighting and shot lists.

Every account gets 10 free credits once, enough for two watermarked images at 5 credits each. Creator and Studio subscriptions add 60 or 300 credits a month, remove the watermark and unlock a private mode; monthly credits do not roll over. Source images are never auto-published, and the processing provider's files normally expire after about one hour. Commercial use is allowed when the user holds rights to the source image.

Frequently asked questions

How many free images can be made?
Each account gets 10 free credits once, enough for two watermarked images at 5 credits each, and they never reset.
What kinds of photos work?
People, pets, products, food, objects, buildings and travel photos; a clear main subject and even light give the best results.
Are uploaded images stored?
Images are never auto-published. The source is re-encoded in the browser and sent to Replicate, where inputs and outputs normally expire after about one hour.
Can results be used commercially?
The editing model supports commercial use, but the user must hold rights to the source image and any people, brands or artwork in it.
Does it keep faces, text and small details?
It aims to keep identity, pose and key colors, but each result is a new AI edit, so small text, logos and fingers should be checked.
Why might an image fail?
A damaged or unsupported file, a safety rule, model downtime, a network drop or a credit or rate limit can all stop a request.
