niji・journey

niji・journey is the official mobile app from Midjourney, Inc. for creating anime-style pictures from text with AI. It runs on iPhone and iPad and is aimed at people who want to turn written ideas into anime characters, scenes and personas, from film characters and custom Dungeons and Dragons characters to famous buildings and scenery. Accounts and subscription plans sync with existing niji・journey and Midjourney accounts.

A user types a description, such as a detailed scene or a short phrase, picks a style, and niji・journey generates the artwork. A short quiz helps users find a custom art style, and prompts and ideas from other users can be remixed. Style codes let users specify a style without a reference picture, and styles found in the feed can be saved and shared with friends.

niji・journey offers a range of styles, including expressive, cute, scenic and original. Finished pictures can be set as a phone lock screen, shared with friends and the community, or posted on social media. The app receives updates with the latest Midjourney model improvements, most recently MJ v8.2 with V8 personalization profiles, and it includes a help center that answers questions about its features.

niji・journey is free to download and includes 20 free generations. Monthly subscriptions cost $4.99 for the Mini Plan, $9.99 for Basic, $29.99 for Standard and $59.99 for Pro, and Fast Hours can be bought separately at $3.99 for 1, $19.99 for 5 or $39.99 for 10. The app requires iOS 15.1 or later or iPadOS 15.1 or later, runs on Apple Vision, and is available in English with a 13+ age rating.
