About Docubix

Docubix is a multi-tenant retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) platform that lets founders upload documents and ship a cited AI assistant into a SaaS product. It is built for SaaS founders, developers, and support teams who need trustworthy document AI without building embeddings infrastructure from scratch.

A user uploads PDFs, DOCX, TXT or Markdown files, and Docubix chunks, embeds and indexes them automatically. The user writes a system prompt, picks a model and tunes retrieval without needing machine-learning experience, then calls a single REST endpoint from their app or backend to put the assistant live. Each response streams back with a citation linking to the exact document and page or section it came from.

Docubix spins up a separate assistant, vector index and API key for every project, and answers only from a workspace's own uploaded documents rather than general training data. Conversations are saved per user so people can continue where they left off, and analytics show what people are asking and which documents get cited most. The same REST endpoint handles chat, history and search.

Docubix offers a Free plan at $0 a month with 1 knowledge base, up to 20 documents, 100 queries a month and 0.25 GB of storage, and a Pro plan at $79 a month with 10 knowledge bases, up to 1,000 documents, 3,000 queries a month and 10 GB of storage. Both plans include API access and citations on every answer, and users can upgrade from the free tier when they outgrow its limits.
