audien.to is a web tool that turns audio recordings into finished text such as clean transcripts, meeting minutes, show notes, study notes, summaries, article drafts and send-ready emails. It is made for podcasts, lectures, voice memos, meetings, interviews, sales calls, speeches and webinars, and for people who already know what they want from a recording. The free tier needs no signup and works in any browser.

A user uploads a file, pastes a link or records in the browser, picks one of 67 languages and converts. audien.to splits the audio at silences, runs speech recognition that is routed to the model judged most accurate for the language and topic, tags speakers and adds word timestamps. A cleanup pass removes filler and fixes punctuation, then a prompt template produces the chosen output with GPT-4o or Claude 3.5.

The default output is a timestamped, speaker-separated transcript that can be edited and exported as TXT, SRT, VTT, DOCX or Markdown. Other formats include a corrected transcript without filler words, a summary with key points, podcast show notes with chapters and pull quotes, meeting minutes with owners for action items, an email recap, a long-form article draft and study notes with key terms. Users can also describe any other output in one sentence.

The free plan gives 90 minutes a day, up to 3 files of 30 minutes each, all output types and all 67 languages. Pro costs $20/month or $120/year and adds 10,000 minutes a month, files up to 512 MB, batch processing and priority processing. Uploaded files are deleted automatically after 72 hours, and audien.to does not use customer audio, transcripts or outputs to train AI models.
