3sparks Chat

3sparks Chat is an AI chat client and keyboard for iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision, made by 3sparks Labs LLC. It connects to large language models running on the user's own computer through tools such as LM Studio, Ollama, AnythingLLM and OpenWebUI, or to cloud APIs including OpenAI, Mistral and Gemini. It is meant for people who want one app for both local and cloud models.

The user sets up connections to a local model server on a Mac, PC or Linux machine, or enters an API key for a cloud provider, and then chats with the chosen model. Images can be uploaded for vision-capable models and text files for any model. A web content reader uses Jina Reader to pull a webpage into a chat, and any public Hugging Face model can be downloaded by pasting its model ID or URL.

A built-in AI keyboard extension rephrases and adjusts writing inside other apps such as iMessage, WhatsApp and email, using customizable prompts and personal tone and style settings. A home screen widget starts a chat from a photo, an image, clipboard text or a blank page, and a share extension sends text or links from any app. Chats can be pinned, messages dictated and replies read aloud, and chats can start from Shortcuts, Siri or the Action button.

3sparks Chat is a paid App Store app priced at $5.99, with Family Sharing for up to six family members. It requires iOS 18.6 or later on iPhone, iPadOS 18.6 on iPad, visionOS 2.0 on Apple Vision, and macOS 15.6 on a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or later. The developer states that no data is collected from the app, and cloud storage is not required.
