TranscribeAI is an iPhone and iPad app from Ripon Soum that converts podcasts, recordings, audio files and YouTube videos into text. Alongside transcription it produces AI summaries of long content and offers a chat that answers questions about a transcript. TranscribeAI is aimed at students, researchers, professionals, podcast listeners, content creators and language learners who want spoken content as text.

Users record meetings, lectures, interviews or their own thoughts, or point TranscribeAI at an Apple Podcasts episode or a YouTube video, and the app returns a searchable text version. Transcription runs online and supports 100+ languages. The AI summarization tool then condenses lengthy transcripts into the essential points, so key information can be found without replaying an entire recording.

The chat function in TranscribeAI lets users ask questions about transcribed material, request explanations or pull out specific details from it. All transcriptions and notes are kept in secure storage within the app. Recent updates add folders, quizzes and flashcards, along with improvements to the chat experience and to podcast transcription, and a simple interface keeps navigation straightforward.
