Trackara

Trackara is a car project and maintenance management app for iPhone and iPad, made by Elijah Strauss of Commoner Apps LLC. It is meant for car owners who are restoring a classic or maintaining a daily driver and want to manage budgets, tasks, parts inventory, maintenance and diagnostics for each vehicle in one place, with AI assistance for managing projects included in the premium subscription.

Adding a vehicle in Trackara follows a step-by-step setup: the owner looks it up by VIN or scans it, chooses the make and model from suggestions, adds a cover photo and reviews the details before saving. Each car project then tracks its budget, tasks and inventory, and the built-in OBD2 scanner reads diagnostic codes through a Bluetooth OBD2 module and adds them to the project.

Trackara schedules maintenance reminders and provides analytics on a vehicle's performance and expenses. With Trackara Link, an owner chooses which vehicle a report or mileage update goes to, can open kept records after access ends, and can tap a shop notification to reach the right screen. The app offers customization options, keeps its data stored locally, and gives rewards their own page under Book.

Trackara is free to download. Premium features, including unlimited projects, advanced tracking tools, AI assistance, detailed analytics and reports, and priority support, require a subscription, sold as in-app purchases at $2.99 monthly and $24.99 yearly. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. The app requires iOS 16.1 or iPadOS 16.1 or later, also runs on macOS 13.0 with an Apple M1 chip, and is in English.
