Pocket Paint is an iPhone app from Santarelli Apps, LLC for creating art with generative AI, with no prior experience required. The user starts from one of the app's prompts and generates a picture of anything they can imagine, in the style of a favourite artist. Pocket Paint is for people who want to make images on their phone, browse what other people have made, remix those pictures and share results with friends.
Generation runs on DALL·E 3, added in version 1.2.2 along with a larger number of free generations and a loading indicator on posts. Images made in the app are published as posts that other users can browse and remix, so a creation can be used as the starting point for a new one. Finished pictures can be shared outside the app. The app may collect identifiers, usage data and diagnostics that are not linked to the user's identity.
Pocket Paint is free to download and includes free generations, with a Painter Pro subscription sold as an in-app purchase at $2.99 weekly, $4.99 monthly or $12.99 quarterly. The app requires iOS 16.0 or later, is designed for iPhone, and also runs on Macs with an Apple M1 chip or later under macOS 13.0. It is available in English, is 24 MB in size and carries a 13+ age rating for infrequent cartoon violence and alcohol or drug references.
