About Nudge

Nudge is a browser extension that shows a real-time trust score on every website a person visits, built to catch scams, phishing and unsafe shopping sites. It checks a domain against a database of more than 1.1 million verified domains across 177 countries and community signals from its network of users, and is offered as a free Chrome and Firefox extension.

For sites not already in its verified database, Nudge's AI analyzes the visited page's content, payment fields, seller signals and scam patterns to generate a trust score from 0 to 100. A badge then appears showing green for safe, amber for caution, or red for danger, along with a plain-English explanation and, if needed, a safer alternative site such as Amazon, Zillow, Redfin or the official brand site.

On marketplaces such as eBay or Facebook, Nudge shows an individual seller's reputation score with the review count behind it, while on established retailers such as Walmart it verifies the retailer once per session and stays silent. Nudge also adds a verification banner to emails in Gmail and Outlook, checking the sender's domain against its trusted-domain list, and surfaces loyalty programs, promo codes and discounts on verified retailer sites.

Nudge stores browsing history, purchase data and site scores only on the user's own device rather than on its servers, and only shares anonymous domain visit counts when a user opts into community signals. The extension runs with no account, no subscription and no ads, and the company says it earns through affiliate partnerships rather than by selling user attention or data.
