Gadget is a full-stack development and hosting platform for building, running and scaling web apps, aimed at app developers, agencies and solo developers building Shopify, BigCommerce and other web applications. It bundles hosting, a database, a backend, a frontend and an AI assistant into a single integrated platform instead of separate tools.
A developer starts an app from a template, such as a Shopify quiz builder or a blank web app, and Gadget provisions a hosted, full-stack environment automatically. Database tables, APIs and React components are generated without writing SQL or boilerplate, and the whole app — schema, backend, frontend and configuration — is deployed with one command.
Gadget auto-generates typesafe APIs and client libraries for every database table, builds React frontends from extensible pre-wired components, and connects to third-party APIs without code, including webhook handling. It adds authentication with email and Google SSO, Stripe billing with one-time, recurring and usage-based pricing, and an AI assistant that carries the project's context and conventions.
Gadget offers a free Hobby plan with one production environment, a Pro plan at $35 a month and a Premium plan at $350 a month, each with more CPU time, storage and platform credits, plus an Enterprise plan for custom infrastructure. Development happens through a cloud IDE, a scriptable CLI, or local tools with Git, and the platform reports 99.99% uptime.
