About BrainGrid

BrainGrid is an app-building platform that writes a specification before generating any code. A person describes what they want built, and a planning agent asks clarifying questions, then defines acceptance criteria, a data model and a readiness score before anything is built. It is aimed at founders, teams and developers who want a hosted product, an internal tool, or a feature added to an existing codebase.

Once a plan is signed off, a Builder Agent running Claude Code works in a cloud sandbox against the spec, and a live preview updates while it works, or the change is ready when the user returns. Each acceptance criterion is then checked and backed by attached proof, such as test runs, screenshots or a recorded working flow, rather than taking the agent's word that a feature is done.

A finished build runs live on BrainGrid Cloud with hosting, sign-in and email handled, and every later change runs the same plan-build-verify loop again. A developer can instead pull the same spec into their own repository and build with Claude Code, Cursor or Codex over MCP or the CLI, keeping their own tools and environment with no lock-in.

BrainGrid is sold on three paid per-seat plans with no free trial: Builder at $290 a year, Builder Pro at $990 a year with up to 25 projects and unlimited users, and Team at $1,990 a year with unlimited projects, single sign-on and priority support; each can also be billed monthly, and yearly billing gives two months free. Plans can be changed or cancelled at any time.
