About CodeGuide

CodeGuide is a documentation tool for developers who build software with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Windsurf and Claude Code. It turns a plain-English description of an app idea into a project knowledge base those tools can reference, including product requirements documents, tech specs and wireframes. It also generates documentation for an existing GitHub codebase so that AI coding tools have accurate context to work from.

A user describes a project in plain English, then answers a series of clarifying questions, such as how notifications should behave or whether users can add friends. CodeGuide turns the answers into a project plan and generates the documents from it. For an existing project, it maps the codebase first, so the documentation it produces reflects what already exists rather than a blank-slate guess.

CodeGuide also includes Software v2, an agent that analyzes a codebase, plans documentation and writes code over extended sessions, drawing on more than 200 LLM models through a router that picks a model for the task. A browser-based UI editor lets a user leave comments and run several agents in parallel on one project. A Chrome extension generates documents directly from the browser, and open-source starter kits preconfigure authentication, a database and payment handling for new projects.

CodeGuide offers a one-time Free plan with 120 credits for a single project, a Pro plan at $24.00 a month billed annually at $288, and a Founder plan at $29.00 a month billed annually at $348. Paid plans include access to more than 40 LLM models, wireframe design creation, documentation for an existing GitHub codebase and the CodeGuide Chrome extension; the Founder plan adds early access to Software v2 and the option to add team members.

What is CodeGuide?
CodeGuide is a translator between an idea and AI coding tools, turning a plain-English description into a full project blueprint that plugs into tools like Cursor, Claude Code and Lovable.
What problem does CodeGuide solve?
