About CaptureNote

CaptureNote is a screenshot-to-notes tool for lecture slides, textbook pages, charts and diagrams. A user uploads one image and gets back a structured note saved to a private, searchable library, rather than a screenshot that sits unopened in a camera roll. It is built for students and anyone who captures study or work material as images but rarely revisits it afterward.

Multimodal AI reads the uploaded image's text, hierarchy, diagrams and relationships together rather than treating it as a flat OCR dump, then returns a note with a summary, key points and terms. CaptureNote keeps definitions, relationships and details intact so the structure of a diagram or process is preserved rather than reduced to disconnected words, which the company says is the core difference from plain OCR.

Notes can be organized into folders that match a user's courses, projects or research themes, searched by title, summary, key term or full Markdown content, and copied or downloaded as Markdown for use outside CaptureNote. Only images that are successfully turned into a note are stored; failed captures are discarded, and a note's source image is deleted along with the note itself.

New Web accounts receive 500 free Credits, and CaptureNote Plus subscriptions add a recurring Credit balance: $9.99/month for 10,000 Credits a month, or $79.99/year for 120,000 Credits a year, with Credits that roll over. One-time Credit packs are also available without a subscription: $4.99 for 4,000 Credits, $9.99 for 10,000 Credits, or $19.99 for 25,000 Credits. A separate iPhone app processes images locally as a one-time purchase, without a Web account.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from regular OCR?
OCR extracts text; CaptureNote uses multimodal understanding to interpret layout, diagrams and relationships into a usable note.
How much can I try for free?
New Web accounts receive 500 Credits, typically enough for a few real captures.
Are my screenshots saved?
Only an image successfully turned into a saved note is retained; it is compressed, stored privately, and deleted with the note.
