Boxy

One private app for your conversations, plans and priorities.

About Boxy

Boxy is a personal assistant app, currently in beta for Mac with a mobile version planned, that gathers a user's conversations, plans and priorities into one private place. It connects to apps such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack and WhatsApp, works out what matters and what is still unresolved, and prepares a next step such as a reply for the user to review.

A user downloads Boxy for Mac, sets it up, and connects the apps they choose to use in Settings, under Accounts; any app can be disconnected at any time. The user works with Boxy in one ongoing conversation, typing or talking to it, asking about anything it can see and telling it what to change, and it prepares drafts rather than acting on its own.

Boxy sends a message, posts a reply or changes a calendar event only after the user approves it, and waits ten seconds after approval before sending so the action can still be stopped. Connected content is stored on the user's own computer rather than on Boxy's servers; to answer questions and prepare drafts it sends only the relevant content to AI model providers, after stripping out email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers and other secrets.

Boxy requires a Mac with Apple Silicon, M1 or later, and is sold as a monthly subscription that can be cancelled at any time, billed through Paddle with a full refund available within 14 days of the first payment. An iPhone version is planned but not yet available, and the Mac app must be set up first before mobile follows.

Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat and Google Drive; it can also look up names in Google Contacts, Other Contacts and the Workspace directory.
Does Boxy act without asking?
No. It only sends an email, posts a chat message, replies to a comment or changes a calendar event after the user approves it.
Where is my Google data stored, and who receives it?
It is stored on the user's computer, not on Boxy's servers; relevant content is sent to AI model providers to answer and prepare drafts, after personal identifiers are stripped out.
Does Boxy sell my data or use it for advertising?
No, Boxy does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general AI models.
How do I remove access?
Disconnect Google under Settings, Accounts, or remove Boxy from Google Account permissions; contact support to delete the local copy.
