AutEng

AutEng is an AI-native workspace for writing technical documentation in Markdown, with Mermaid diagrams and KaTeX math in the same document. An AI assistant drafts architecture docs, API documentation, specifications, tutorials and diagrams from plain-language requests. AutEng is aimed at engineers and technical teams documenting software, mathematics and data science work, and its editor can be tried in the browser without creating an account.

A user describes the document needed, for example an OAuth implementation guide with sequence diagrams, and the AI writes it, asking questions when it needs more detail and searching the web for current information. The editor renders GitHub Flavored Markdown, code blocks in more than 100 languages, Mermaid flowcharts and sequence, class, state and Gantt diagrams, and inline or display math. Finished documents can be downloaded as Markdown files.

AutEng also checks mathematics. The AI can derive a result step by step and call Computer Algebra System tools based on SymPy to verify each transformation, flagging steps that lose or add solutions. For formal proofs, it generates Lean 4 proofs with Mathlib and has them machine-checked. Documents keep an automatic version history with a visual diff viewer and one-click restore, and they can be published through public share links that viewers open without logging in.

Documents are private by default and stored encrypted on SOC 2 compliant infrastructure.
