Almanack is a lesson-planning and curriculum-implementation tool for K-12 teachers and school leaders. It takes the curriculum a district has adopted and helps teachers make it fit their own students: adapting lessons, producing differentiated versions and replanning units around the real school calendar. Resources such as worksheets, slide decks, quizzes, assessments, activities and unit plans can be generated in any subject and in several languages.
A teacher describes what is needed, for example a worksheet on fractions, a slide deck about the Civil War or an activity for ELL students, and Almanack generates it aligned to the chosen standards. It supports 500+ US state standards and international curriculums. Teachers can also browse ready-made resources shared by other teachers. No student names or sensitive information need to be entered, and the service is FERPA compliant with encrypted storage.
The Adapt function changes reading level, topic, content depth or pacing while keeping the unit structure intact. Differentiate produces below-grade, above-grade, ELL and IEP-accommodated versions of a lesson that share the same standards. Replan maps the curriculum against the calendar and shows the trade-offs when there are more lessons than days. Assessments map to letter grades and produce gradebook-ready output. Outputs work with Google Classroom, Google Forms, Google Slides, Google Docs, PowerPoint, Word, PDF, Kahoot and Quizlet.
Almanack for Schools adds a curriculum coverage dashboard for directors and sign-in through Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, Clever or ClassLink. It complements rather than replaces an LMS such as Google Classroom, Canvas or SEQTA. Schools typically begin with a 5-teacher pilot lasting 4 to 6 weeks with an optional 15 to 20 minute onboarding walkthrough. Individual teachers can sign up free without a credit card and start using Almanack immediately.
