About Album Art Creator

Album Art Creator is a web tool that makes square album covers for Spotify, Apple Music and distributors such as DistroKid. A musician starts with a song description, a genre, an image from another tool or a photo, adds the song title and artist name, and downloads a 3000 or 4096 pixel JPG or PNG that has been checked against the distributors' published cover rules. Every new account gets 5 free credits with no card needed.

No model was trained. Gemini 3 Flash writes an image prompt from the user's words, title and genre; GPT Image 2.5 draws the picture and its lettering in one pass at 1024 pixels, and Topaz upscales it to 4096 on download. Gemini then reads the lettering back and compares it letter by letter with what was typed, so a misspelled title is caught before upload. Each one-sentence change becomes a new version, and returning to an earlier version is free.

The title and artist name can be drawn into the picture as lettering made for it, set in 22 fonts, or left off. A release check reads size, format, colour space, file size and the words on the cover against the rules of Spotify, Apple Music and DistroKid, and flags URLs, prices and social handles; a deep check looks for logos and barcodes. A user's own photo can be used as it is or given one of six film looks.

Album Art Creator is free to use with a user's own image and typed text; AI actions cost 1 credit each. Credit packs of 8 ($4.99), 24 ($12.99) and 80 ($34.99) never expire, and the Pro subscription is $9 a month, or $7.50 a month billed yearly, for 40 credits every month. Covers can be used commercially on every plan, uploaded images are never used for training, and the Studio works on a 390 px phone screen.

Frequently asked questions

What resolution does Album Art Creator export?
3000x3000 and 4096x4096 pixels as JPG or PNG on every plan; generated covers are drawn at 1024 and upscaled once with Topaz on first download.
Can the cover be uploaded to DistroKid, TuneCore or CD Baby?
Yes. A 3000x3000 JPG meets their published size, format and file-size rules; DistroKid also accepts 4096, while TuneCore and CD Baby stop at 3000.
Can the cover be used commercially?
Yes, on every plan including the free credits, and the licence does not end when a subscription does.
What do credits cost, and what is free?
1 credit is one AI action. Packs are 8 for $4.99, 24 for $12.99 and 80 for $34.99 and never expire; Pro is $9 a month for 40 credits. Typed text, switching versions, checks and downloads are always free.
Which AI models generate the covers?
GPT Image 2.5 (OpenAI) draws every cover and change at 1024x1024 with the lettering; Topaz upscales to 4096; Gemini 3 Flash (Google) writes the prompt and reads the lettering back.
Does Album Art Creator keep uploaded images?
Yes, privately, until the user deletes them; only the account owner can open them and they are never used for training.
Can Pro be cancelled?
Yes, any time from the account page or by email; access continues until the end of the paid period.
What is the refund policy?
The first Pro payment is refunded in full within 7 days, duplicate charges are always refunded, and unused credit packs are refunded within 14 days of purchase.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The Studio is built for a 390 px screen and produces the same 3000 and 4096 files.
