WhatsCook

WhatsCook is a digital cookbook and weekly meal planner designed for individuals and households who cook regularly. It lets users save recipes from Instagram, TikTok or any cooking website, or even a photo from a cookbook, and access everything from any device. The platform supports following cooks by their usernames and sharing recipes among household members, enabling collaborative meal planning and cooking. The app emphasizes synchronization across devices and a planning experience for families or roommates who cook together.

WhatsCook works by collecting recipes from various sources and organizing them into a centralized collection. Users save recipes from anywhere, plan a week in a calendar or a drag-and-drop list, and rely on a shopping list that automatically gathers planned items. Cooks invited to a shared kitchen can edit the same recipes, meal plans, and shopping list in real-time, ensuring everyone stays aligned.

Key capabilities include saving recipes from multiple sources, planning weeks in a preferred view, and generating a shopping list that updates with changes to the plan. The app lets users invite household members, follow cooks by username, and copy other users’ recipes while receiving updates if the original changes. It also supports copying recipes with a link to maintain attribution.

WhatsCook highlights platform availability and ecosystem integrations, noting availability on iPhone and Android and the option to use the service without installation by signing in and syncing with mobile apps. It presents a cross-device workflow for planning, cooking, and sharing that emphasizes collaboration within a household and among followers of individual cooks.
