TravelTrail

TravelTrail is a trip-planning app for iPhone and iPad from Alberto Hernandez (DuoDevApps). It plans a trip day by day, with stops, times, routes and travel times shown on a map, and keeps bookings, flights and shared expenses in the same place. It is for travellers who collect places from TikTok, Instagram, Google Maps or screenshots and want to turn them into a workable plan, alone or with a group.

A user shares a TikTok, an Instagram post or carousel, a Google Maps or Apple Maps place, a screenshot or a note from their notes app with TravelTrail. The app finds the places mentioned, marks them on the map with the creator's tip and the second of the video where each appears, and files them under a trip or in Saved, sorted by city. TikTok can also be searched without leaving the app.

Saved places go into a day-by-day itinerary with a start time at each stop, a travel mode of walking, public transport, car or bike, the time between stops and each day's weather forecast. An AI assistant that knows the trip's dates, hotel and plan can add and move stops, set times, recommend places as cards, save bookings and answer questions about the trip. Bookings are filled in from a pasted confirmation email, screenshot or PDF, with a reminder before free cancellation ends.

Trips can be shared by link, with an undo history and expense splitting that shows who owes whom. TravelTrail is free with in-app purchases: the free plan includes 3 analyses of videos, screenshots or notes a month and 2 bookings per trip, while Premium at 6,99 € a month or 19,99 € a year unlocks the AI assistant, timed itineraries, shared trips, daily forecasts, more analyses and unlimited bookings. It requires iOS 17.0 and comes in 13 languages.
