Tavern of Tales

Tavern of Tales is a fantasy storytelling app for iPhone and iPad in which users create their own heroes and write their backstories. It combines character creation with a fantasy-themed community where those tales are shared and read. Tavern of Tales is aimed at storytellers, artists and fans of epic sagas who want a place to build characters and see what other people have made.

In Tavern of Tales, a user creates a hero, writes the character's backstory and describes the hero's journey. The app then brings the character to life with an AI-generated portrait, so each written hero also has a picture. Finished tales are shared with the community, where other users can explore the stories of fellow adventurers and like their favorite heroes, building a collection of characters across the app.

Tavern of Tales is free to download with in-app purchases of Magic Diamonds: 10 for $1.99, 50 for $8.99 and 100 for $14.99. It requires iOS 14.0.0 or later on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, macOS 11.0 on a Mac with an Apple M1 chip, or visionOS 1.0. The app is in English, rated 4+ and not verified for macOS, and contact info may be collected and linked to the user.
