Summate is a software tool that builds a personal digest from sources the user follows, including newsletters, YouTube channels, and blogs. It aims to help users manage information by delivering a concise, AI-generated summary of relevant content on a chosen schedule. The tool is designed for individuals who want to read less but still stay informed about topics they care about. It focuses on organizing content from multiple sources into a single, accessible digest.

Users sign up and complete onboarding to tailor their digests. Onboarding collects interests, connects accounts, and creates digests based on the user’s profile or curated defaults. The team emphasizes a trial period and the ability to tailor summaries to better match user preferences and content sources.

Digests can be customized by adding, removing, or editing content blocks (Email, YouTube, RSS). Users can connect YouTube and RSS sources, paste URLs, or import Substack subscriptions. The AI can be customized with specific instructions to emphasize certain topics or styles, and digests can be scheduled for daily, weekly, or monthly delivery.

Digests arrive via email and are also available on the web reader. They auto-collect new content from all sources since the last digest and generate AI summaries based on user instructions. The platform supports templates and custom digests for various life areas, such as work, crypto/finance, world news, tech, and personal growth.
