About ReadyRunner

ReadyRunner is an AI assistant that runs on the desktop or the web, offering environments to help users write, code, learn and be productive. It presents multiple chat modes and features designed to support work tasks, from drafting and debugging to document interaction. The tool targets people who want to integrate an AI assistant into their daily workflows across platforms. The product emphasizes accessibility from both desktop and web contexts and provides a free usage option to begin with, alongside paid plans.

ReadyRunner supports three chat types: Assistant chat, ScratchPad, and Document Chat. The Assistant chat is a standard AI chat with a customizable system prompt. ScratchPad is a collaborative text pane for questions about text or code edits. Document Chat lets users add long or complex documents and receive answers based on the document’s findings, with a view to verify accuracy.

Additional features include a Global Hotkey Access to reach ReadyRunner from anywhere on the system, a System Prompt Library to influence responses, and a memory mechanism showing which messages are considered in context. The interface prioritizes readability with message streaming and a multi-line composer that expands as needed.

The product offers model selection between GPT-3 and GPT-4, allowing users to switch models and even change mid-conversation. It presents a free tier with trial usage, and traditional plans are available for ongoing use, including desktop apps for Mac and Windows and a web option.
