About Polar Analytics

Polar Analytics is a data platform for ecommerce brands and agencies. It helps connect Shopify, ads, email, marketplace and other data sources into a single Snowflake warehouse, where definitions and business logic are governed so teams can query consistently. It enables AI-driven insights and automated actions across marketing, operations and finance without relying on a separate analytics team. The tool aims to give trusted data to multiple users across the organization.

Polar Analytics operates by providing a semantic layer and a set of AI agents that read from the governed data, allowing users to ask questions in natural language and receive traceable results. Data sources are brought together through connectors, and models and rules are defined to ensure that metrics align with how the business runs. Users can connect to BI tools and export data, with security and ownership retained by the user’s own Snowflake instance.

Polar Analytics offers a central data platform with an integrated AI layer. It supports attribution and ROAS calculations, provides a library of 400+ harmonized metrics and dimensions, and enables timeline-aligned, audited answers that trace back to specific definitions and queries.

Polar Analytics describes its plans, platforms and integrations as involving a Snowflake data warehouse owned by the user, a governed semantic layer, and connectors to a wide range of tools and platforms. It emphasizes that data stays in the user’s own warehouse, with AWS-hosted Snowflake by default and regional hosting on request, and notes available support and a dedicated success manager on higher plans.

Frequently asked questions

Does Polar match Shopify?
Yes. On the same settings, Polar matches each data source, so what you see in Shopify, Amazon or Meta is what you see in Polar.
How is Polar different from Triple Whale?
Open, not a black box. You can see every definition, every touchpoint behind every order, and the raw data underneath.
What does Polar replace?
It depends on your setup. Polar can take over parts of the work you use Supermetrics, Daasity, Triple Whale, Elevar or your own data warehouse build for today.
Do you connect to NetSuite, Amazon and the rest of our stack?
Yes. Polar has 1000+ one-click connectors, including Shopify, Amazon Seller and Vendor Central, Amazon Ads, Meta, Google, TikTok, Klaviyo, Recharge, Skio and NetSuite.
How long until we’re up and running?
Connecting your data takes about 20 minutes, and you can start asking questions within 30. The full historical load takes 24 hours to a couple of days, depending on your data volume, and some sources take longer because of API limits.
Who owns the data? Can we query the warehouse?
You do. Your data lives in its own isolated Snowflake database and is never pooled with other brands. You can get read-only SQL access, connect Power BI or any other BI tool, and export whenever you want.
Is our data secure? Where is it hosted?
Your data sits in a dedicated Snowflake database on AWS, hosted in the US by default, with EU hosting on request. Polar is GDPR compliant, with a DPA available.
How fresh is the data?
Shopify and the Polar Pixel refresh about every 15 minutes, and ad platforms refresh within the hour. Amazon and a few other sources refresh daily because of their API limits.
How do you make sure the AI doesn’t make things up?
Polar’s AI doesn’t write SQL from scratch to guess at your numbers. It runs on a semantic layer, which holds governed definitions for every metric and dimension, including your own.
Do I have to use your AI, or can I use Claude?
You can use both. Ask Polar is built into the platform. The Polar MCP connector lets you query the same governed data from Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-compatible tool on your own AI subscription.
Can Polar’s AI agents take actions in our ad accounts?
Polar’s agents monitor your data, diagnose issues, recommend fixes and draft the work, like a Klaviyo campaign or a budget change. Nothing changes in your ad platforms or store unless you’ve set up that action and approved it.
Do you do incrementality testing? MMM?
Yes, Polar runs incrementality tests with our team’s support to measure the extra sales your marketing actually drives.
