Mitra

Mitra is an AI phone assistant for iPhone and iPad that represents its user on phone calls. Made by DeusMachina, Inc., Mitra makes and answers calls, follows the user's instructions and keeps track of details such as plans, appointments and to-dos. It is meant for people who want help coordinating plans, arranging appointments and resolving questions by phone, with an emphasis on privacy, security and control.

The user tells Mitra what is needed by text or voice, and Mitra remembers the context and preferences shared with it. It then places or answers calls on the user's own phone number, the number people already know. While a call is under way, the user can listen live, read the transcript or join the call, and can choose when Mitra should ring them. Recordings, transcripts and summaries are kept for review afterwards.

Beyond calls, Mitra keeps to-dos, plans and important updates together. Connected apps let it find information, send emails, update the calendar and work with files, and a secure browser helps it find information and complete tasks on websites. Users choose what to share and connect, approve actions that need permission, and can customize the assistant or create separate assistants for different responsibilities. Mitra also works with Siri.

Mitra is free to download, with in-app purchases that include Mitra Pro at $30.00, Mitra Premier at $90.00 and Mitra Prime at $300.00, plus packs of 5, 10 or 15 call hours priced at $30.00, $60.00 and $90.00. The app requires iOS 18.0 or later on iPhone and iPadOS 18.0 or later on iPad, is available in English and 43 more languages, and carries a 13+ age rating.
