Mastra

Mastra is a TypeScript framework for building AI-powered applications and agents. It provides agents, workflows, memory, workspaces and observability to support the full lifecycle from idea to implementation. It can integrate with frontend and backend frameworks like React, Next.js and Node, or run as a standalone server.

Mastra agents use LLMs and tools to solve open-ended tasks, reasoning about goals, deciding which tools to use and iterating internally until a final answer or an optional stopping condition is met. The platform also includes workflows, memory, workspaces and observability to support building and deploying AI-powered solutions.

Mastra offers built-in observability and tooling to observe, measure and refine agent performance, including scoring, traces and logs. It supports multi-step processes, human-in-the-loop, and storage-backed pausing and resuming of workflows.

Mastra is designed for TypeScript developers aiming to embed AI agents into applications or ship standalone endpoints, with deployment options to run on Node.js-compatible environments and optional deployers for platforms like Vercel, Netlify and Cloudflare.
