About Letterly

Letterly provides voice dictation, notes, meetings and more, designed for people who prefer speaking to typing. It supports recording across devices and integrates with apps to generate text from speech, notes, emails and meeting transcripts. The tool emphasizes privacy by keeping words yours and not used to train AI. It is available on multiple platforms and supports long recordings and language detection.

Letterly enables dictation directly inside other apps, and it records conversations and meetings to produce transcripts and summaries. It offers rewrites to generate different text styles, and an organization layer to search, tag and edit notes later. Users can share outputs or connect Letterly to workflows via Zapier and webhooks.

Letterly presents features for handling emails, personal notes, meeting notes, social posts, journals and documents. It highlights built-in offline recording, translation into many languages, and an ever-expanding set of rewrite styles and integration options. The interface includes widgets, shortcuts, Apple Watch support, and a path to connect with AI tools.

Letterly supports Free and Pro plans, with device-wide use across iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, Windows and Web, and tooling around translation, offline recording, and integration options; it also states how data is handled and how plans scale across devices.

Frequently asked questions

What plans are there?
Letterly has a Free plan and a Pro plan. Free gives you 10 notes, recordings up to 3 minutes and 20 dictations. Pro removes these limits and comes as a monthly, annual or lifetime plan.
Does it work offline?
Recording works offline, and your recording is not lost without a connection. Transcription and rewriting need the internet, so Letterly finishes them automatically as soon as you are back online.
Can I record a Zoom or Google Meet call?
Not directly. Letterly records through the microphone, not the audio stream of the call. Put your phone nearby and use speakers rather than headphones, so both sides of the conversation are heard.
Is my data used for AI training?
No. Your recordings, notes and rewritten text are never used to train AI models — neither ours nor our providers'
