About HomeDesign

HomeDesign is an AI home design tool that runs in the browser and helps homeowners preview changes before a renovation. It starts from what people already have: a photo of a room, a photo of the house exterior, or an existing floor plan. The results serve as visual references for comparing ideas with family or briefing a contractor, not as construction drawings or permit-ready documents.

Each workflow follows the same pattern: upload an image, pick a style and options, generate, then compare the result with the original. For interiors, users set the room type, style and color direction and note what to keep. For exteriors, they choose the area, architectural style, palette and materials. For floor plans, they select one room and a style, then add preferences for furniture, materials or use.

The floor plan tool identifies rooms in an uploaded plan and produces a 2D furniture layout, a photorealistic 3D render and an optional 360° panoramic view of the chosen room. Interior and exterior results keep the original structure, such as room proportions, rooflines and openings. Users can mark one area and describe a local change so only that region is regenerated. Landscape design and an exterior paint visualizer are also available.

HomeDesign sells credit packs rather than subscriptions. New accounts get 5 free credits, and packs cost $5 for 80 credits, $9 for 160, $17 for 320 and $32 for 640, valid for 30 to 180 days. A room concept costs 1 credit, a 2D room plan 2, a realistic render 3 and a 360 preview 4. Image models on offer include Nano Banana and GPT Image 2, and users keep commercial rights to results.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of image should be uploaded?
A clear, well-lit, straight-on photo of a room, a house exterior or an existing floor plan, ideally at least 1024 pixels on the longest side, with the whole space in frame and no heavy filters.
Can just one part of a design be changed?
Yes. Mark the area and describe the edit, such as a different sofa or new flooring; only that region is regenerated, which costs fewer credits than starting over.
Can the results be used for construction?
No. They are visual references; measurements, materials and structural decisions should be checked with a qualified professional.
What happens to uploaded photos?
They are stored, used only to generate designs and not used to train AI models without explicit consent. Projects stay private unless shared.
Can designs be used commercially?
Yes. Users keep commercial rights to what they generate, with no attribution required.
Is there a free trial?
New accounts get 5 free credits with no credit card required; paid packs start at $5.
