FluentDB is a native macOS database client with a built-in AI co-pilot for PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, and SQL Server, with more drivers in progress. It is built for Mac users who manage databases and want to ask questions in plain English and get SQL written against their own schema instead of writing every query by hand.
Users connect to a database and ask a question in plain English; FluentDB reads the schema, not the row data, to write SQL, shows the query before running it, and explains what it does. Write queries such as an UPDATE require explicit confirmation, and users can bring their own Anthropic, OpenAI, or local Ollama model with their own key.
FluentDB includes a full SQL editor with schema-aware autocomplete and instant previews, a keyboard-first database explorer opened with Command+P, and a data grid that scrolls 100K+ rows without stuttering. It also offers custom boards for charts and tables, and MCP support so a connected AI agent can manage database connections.
FluentDB is macOS only, built natively for Apple Silicon, and sold as a one-time purchase rather than a subscription: Basic is $54 for one Mac, Pro is $76 for up to three Macs, and Team Seat is $24 per seat with a minimum of four seats. Every license includes one year of updates, with longer update windows available as an add-on.
