About ExplainViz

ExplainViz is an AI figure maker for researchers, academics and graduate students that turns a written description of a study into a labeled scientific diagram. It covers graphical abstracts, conceptual and theoretical frameworks, scientific illustrations and conference posters for journal papers, theses, dissertations and grant work, across fields including biology, chemistry, medicine, computer science, physics and engineering.

The user describes the finding, variables, mechanism or theory the figure must show, ideally naming effect directions and the diagram type, then picks a model (CV-1, CV-2 Standard or CV-2 Max) and a figure ratio. The AI drafts a structured figure with labels, directional arrows and a logical layout. Each label and element can then be checked and edited, with colors and typography adjusted before export.

Figures export as editable vector SVG for Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma, or as 2K and 4K images, with size presets for journals such as Elsevier, Cell Press and Wiley. Output carries no watermark. Each tool ships with discipline examples, such as cell signaling pathways, reaction mechanisms, materials workflows and clinical trial flows, and batch generation and a permanent research library are included. ExplainViz advises reviewing every label before submission.

Pricing uses one-time credit packs rather than a subscription, and purchased credits never expire. New users start with free credits, and packs run from $5 for 12 credits to $200 for 744 credits. A figure costs 1 to 4 credits depending on model and resolution, while SVG export and image editing each add 1 credit. Optional auto-refill tops up the balance with a 20% bonus, and API credits are sold separately.
