Endless Visual Novel

Endless Visual Novel is an AI storytelling game where all assets — graphics, music, story and characters — are generated by AI as you play. No two playthroughs will ever be the same.

The underlying engine is playable but quite bare. We're constantly adding new features and tweaking things based on user feedback.

The sprites and backgrounds are generated using diffusion models like Stable Diffusion. In addition, the language models are utilized in prompting to generate characters and backgrounds that fit the specific story and setting. Players will eventually be able to regenerate and customize the characters and location backgrounds to their liking.

We use a variety of neural nets to generate midi samples which will then be further post-processed to improve the quality. Initially the soundtrack for each playthrough/world is generated randomly, but you will have various ways of controlling it later on.
