About Dynobase

Dynobase is a desktop application that provides a graphical user interface for DynamoDB. It supports querying, editing, and modeling DynamoDB data, and it connects to AWS profiles and local databases. The tool targets developers, data engineers, and DynamoDB users who manage data across multiple regions and accounts from a native app. It emphasizes data exploration and design within a dedicated client rather than a browser console.

Dynobase presents data through a grid and a query builder, allowing users to inspect results, build expressions, and review changes before they are written. It includes features for exploring schemas, viewing item-level differences, and handling bulk edits.

Users can search across profiles and regions, edit and compare items, build queries, inspect scan costs, and save favorites. The interface supports generating code snippets and managing DynamoDB-related workflows inside one tool. It integrates multiple DynamoDB operations, supports terminal-like data transformation, and provides options for offline and local development.

Dynobase offers plans, platforms, integrations or limits stated by the site, including different license types and a 7-day trial. The product emphasizes cross-platform desktop availability, AWS profile support, and the ability to work with DynamoDB Local as well as cloud tables. It documents on-demand backups, table indexing, and various management capabilities within the application.

Frequently asked questions

How does Dynobase connect to my DynamoDB tables?
Dynobase uses profiles stored in a folder named .aws in your home directory. It’s the same method that other various CLI and SDK tools are using. Dynobase is not modifying this file, neither is it storing them in any other place or sending them to 3rd party APIs. Dynobase also supports AWS SSO and external credential providers like aws-vault.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you no longer wish to use Dynobase, you may cancel at any time, and we will not bill you again. To do that, log in to your account at member.dynobase.dev and select Cancel.
How many devices can I activate with purchase or subscription?
You can register up to 3 devices per subscription or purchase. You can deactivate old devices that you’re not using anymore.
Can I use Dynobase to connect with DynamoDB Offline or LocalStack?
Yes, Dynobase works perfectly with DynamoDB Offline distributions, including the ones using Docker.
