DirectoryStack

DirectoryStack is a Next.js and TypeScript starter template for building a directory website, sold as a one-time boilerplate rather than a subscription. It is built for developers and makers who want to launch a directory business, such as an AI tool directory, a local business directory or a niche web directory.

A buyer purchases the Foundation or Foundation Plus tier and receives the complete boilerplate source code, including core modules such as the admin area, public area and activity tracking. The developer customizes the included modules, connects third-party tools and a database, and deploys the resulting Next.js project, including to Vercel, as their own directory website.

The template is built with a modular architecture, so a developer can add only the core, shared or extension modules a given directory needs. A Local Business Directory template adds lead forms, map embeds and AI-powered search, while Cursor Rules for AI Development help AI coding assistants work with the codebase. Ready-made templates exist for AI tool directories, general web directories and local business directories.

DirectoryStack is priced as a one-time purchase rather than a subscription: Foundation costs $99 during the current beta and includes the core and shared modules, while Foundation Plus costs $249 and adds every current and future extension module. A P2P exchange directory template and a booking or reservation directory template are both listed as upcoming, not yet available, and custom team pricing requires contacting support directly.
