Devra is a notebook maker that creates a complete, readable Jupyter notebook from a user's data files. It is aimed at people who want a Kaggle-style data analysis notebook, built automatically rather than written by hand, that can be explored online or downloaded for use in Kaggle or Jupyter.
A user uploads data files, and Devra inspects the file schema to understand their structure before writing the analysis itself. The generated analysis is validated by running it in a Python environment, rather than being left as unchecked code, so the resulting notebook has already been executed before it is handed back.
The finished output is an executed notebook rather than a written report: it includes the analysis code, a narrative explaining it, tables of results, and charts generated from the data. A user can inspect the notebook directly in the browser, or download the `.ipynb` file to open in Kaggle or Jupyter.
