crAion

crAion is an app for iPhone and iPad that uses AI to interpret children's drawings. A parent scans a drawing and crAion returns an analysis of the meanings and emotions it reads in the artwork, offered as a way to understand a child's development and imagination. The app is developed by Juanjo Valino, listed in the Education category, and is intended for parents who want insight into their child's creative work.

Alongside the analysis, crAion keeps a cloud-based digital gallery of each child's drawings so the progression of their work can be revisited over time. Families with more than one child create a profile per child, switch between them, browse each child's gallery, tidy collections, mark favourites and move a drawing scanned under the wrong profile to the right one. Artwork can be shared with family members from the app.

crAion states that all data and artwork are stored securely, and the app contains no advertisements. In the App Store privacy summary, purchases, user content and identifiers may be collected and linked to identity, while contact info, usage data and diagnostics are collected without being linked. The developer updates the app with new features and content; the most recent release added multiple kids' profiles and artwork management.

crAion is free to download with in-app purchases: Premium Weekly at $7.99, Premium Monthly at $9.99, Premium Annual at $39.99, crAion Premium Annual Full at $59.99 and a Lifetime purchase at $89.99. Some purchases can be shared through Family Sharing. The app requires iOS 16.4 or iPadOS 16.4 or later, also runs on Apple silicon Macs with macOS 13.3 and on Apple Vision, and is offered in English only.
