CleverType

CleverType is a free AI keyboard for Android, iOS and desktop, powered by ChatGPT, that fixes grammar, changes tone and lets a user type smarter in any app. It is aimed at professionals in top companies and other users who want to write confidently across languages. The keyboard combines grammar correction, tone adjustment, voice typing, translation and more than 20 AI writing assistants in one place.

A user types or taps the microphone key on the CleverType keyboard, and AI fixes grammar and spelling with one tap, replacing the original sentence once the suggestion is accepted. Speaking into the microphone starts a live recording that is turned into properly punctuated, formatted text, including numbered lists, with filler words like um and uh removed and self-corrections applied if the user changes their mind mid-sentence.

CleverType changes the tone of a sentence into one of thirteen preset tones, such as professional, casual, empathetic or witty, or a custom tone the user defines. Clever Reply auto-responds to messages on WhatsApp and email with neutral, positive or negative replies, and can expand a short note into a full response. A built-in chat gives access to ChatGPT and more than 20 AI writing assistants for tasks like summarizing text or writing social captions.

CleverType offers a free plan with basic features and a Premium plan starting at $4.99 a month with unlimited grammar correction, tone change and AI assistants. It supports more than 40 languages and runs on Android, iPhone, Mac and Windows, working inside any app a user types in rather than as a separate editor. AI translation on the Android and iOS keyboards also preserves tone and style across languages.
