CarSnap is an iPhone app that identifies cars from photographs. The user points the camera at a car, picks a picture from the photo library or shares one from Photos, and CarSnap uses AI to recognise the make, model and year from any angle. It then builds a profile of the car with its specifications, estimated value, rarity and owner opinions. It is made for car spotters and enthusiasts who want to know what they are looking at.
Each identified car gets a page with horsepower, acceleration and top speed, an estimated market value in the user's local currency, production years, the number produced and a rarity score. Owner Consensus summarises what owners like about the car, their common complaints and known issues, and videos about the car play inside the app. Users can add their own notes and edit any detail of a profile before saving it to their garage.
Every car spotted is pinned on a map where it was found, so finds can be explored from one street to around the world. Snaps keep the full history with search, brand filters and sorting by price, acceleration or power, and Collections group favourites in any way. Spotting cars unlocks badges for the logos of 400+ brands. Insights lists the fastest, most powerful, most expensive and rarest finds, the oldest model and the total value of everything spotted.
Any car can be shared as a card with its key stats. Units can be set to mph or km/h and the interface to light or dark. CarSnap is free to download with in-app purchases: Car Identifier Pro at $4.99, $9.99 monthly, or $19.99 or $39.99 yearly, and an Unlimited purchase at $29.99. It runs only on iPhone, requires iOS 17.0 or later, and is available in English.
