About AIWritingPal

AIWritingPal provides a full-screen writing environment where writing is free and AI editing assists by suggesting edits. The tool focuses on editing rather than generating text, and its editor presents markup that users accept or reject. It is designed for people who write and want a distraction-free interface with AI-driven revisions.

Blue Pencil is the AI editor within AIWritingPal that marks up the draft and offers options like Improve, Shorten, Expand, Fix or Translate. It does not modify the draft until the user accepts a change, and it can be asked about the selection or about the whole draft. It operates in a browser and via a desktop app and browser extensions.

The product supports multiple languages and offers export options. It includes features such as focus mode, typewriter scrolling, and paragraph focus to help writers concentrate, and exports in Markdown, Word, PDF or HTML. It also stores drafts in the user’s account so work can be resumed across devices.

AIWritingPal provides pricing as free access to the editor and export features, with paid AI editing named Blue Pencil. It offers a Pro plan and an option for teams, with details on word counting, language handling, and how usage is billed.

Frequently asked questions

What is AIWritingPal?

A quiet, full-screen editor for people who write. Its AI, Blue Pencil, only edits: select some text and it suggests changes, marked up the way an editor marks a page. You accept or reject every one.

Does the AI write for me?

Blue Pencil works on what you wrote: improve, shorten, expand, fix, translate, or any change you describe in your own words.

Is it free?

Writing is. The editor, focus mode and every export are free on every plan. AI editing (Blue Pencil) comes with 1,000 free words to try; after that Pro is $1 a month, billed $12 a year, with no limit, and a full refund within 14 days if it isn’t for you.

Which languages are supported?

English, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese, natively. Blue Pencil’s prompts are written for each language rather than translated from English, and mixed scripts get the right spacing.

Where are my documents stored?

In your account, so you can sign in on any device and pick up where you left off.
